Workshops

Workshops

Workshops have returned this Autumn / Winter 2020!

I am so pleased to confirm that I am back delivering workshops. I am as excited to be back facilitating workshops as you are to be attending!

I am aware that for some of my participants they may not feel able to join a group workshop this Autumn / Winter. Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss a one to one workshop or a workshop with members from one household or bubble, within a Covid secure venue. I would be more than happy to discuss ways in which I could help facilitate a workshop where you would feel safe.

Many of the workshops and projects I deliver are for individual organisations, schools or communities. However here you can find all my public workshops that are open to everyone. I look forward to meeting you at one of them soon.

Thank you so much for the workshop you gave yesterday, I thoroughly enjoyed the day and felt that I had achieved something. Your expertise and manner both helped me to feel at ease in a world that I would not normally find myself in, so thank you. A great day.

Weaving on Looms at Sunny Bank Mills - Beginner's Weaving Course

A 5 week course for those who would like to explore and develop their weaving more. You may be a complete beginner or have done a peg loom weaving course or woven on a rigid heddle loom but are keen to develop your skills. Looms will already be set up and warped so there is plenty of time to concentrate on weaving! Each of the 6 looms will be set with a different pattern so that you can explore a different technique, (e.g. plain weave, twill) by rotating around.

You will spend the first three weeks exploring different weave patterns whilst learning about your loom.

The final two weeks will be dedicated to weaving your own final project, this could be a table runner, cushion cover or scarf for example. With support you will be guided as to how to achieve your designed outcome.

At the end of the course you will take home a range of samples, as well as one final finished item.
